AEGIS Combining Robots

The first published title of my company, Zephyr Workshop. It was designed to be a fast, accessible tactical skirmish game with a ton of modular content. I led all design, development, creative and sales efforts with the help of many talented colleagues. Made $52,500 on Kickstarter, and sold through its print run within a year of publication.

My roles:

  • Project management: Led a multi-functional team of 8. Sought, interviewed, hired, and managed numerous contractors.

  • Game design: Created all game systems, content, and variant modes. Designed, developed, and tested 120 playable characters.

  • IP development: Created and developed branding and style guides to create an original IP appealing to a specific niche.

  • Narrative design: Wrote flavor text, lore, scenarios prose, and hundreds of ability names.

  • Art direction: Recruited and managed three artists and two graphic designers. Provided feedback and finalized dozens of game assets.

  • Illustration: Produced concept art and over 80 final illustrations.

  • Asset Assembly: Created all final assets, including 128 cards, packaging, punch boards, boards, rulebook, dice designs, and insert tray.

  • Publishing: Led all communication with manufacturing, fulfillment, marketing, and sales channels. Assembled, marketed, ran, and fulfilled a successful Kickstarter campaign.
