AEGIS: Second Ignition
A sequel to the first AEGIS, and an entirely new, stand-alone game with all-new content. It is completely cross-compatible with the first game, which when combined contain 250 playable characters. Made $106,000 on Kickstarter.
My roles:
Project management: Led team of three designers. Interviewed, hired, and managed a dozen art, graphics, video, and marketing contractors starting from and continuing through Covid.
Game development: Updated and improved upon core rules, designed new arenas and game modes. Ensured full cross-compatibility with first game.
Content design: Designed 120 new playable characters, numerous new mechanics, 20 scenarios, and 8 bosses.
Solo mode design: Designed an entirely backwards and cross-compatible single-player mode.
Narrative design: Wrote and developed continuing lore, flavor text, ability names, and prose.
Art direction: Recruited and Directed five illustrators, two graphic designers and a 3D modeler, provided concept art, and feedback to create over 150 game assets.
Asset Assembly: Created all final assets, including 120 cards, packaging, punch boards, boards, and rulebook.
Publishing: Led all communication with manufacturing, fulfillment, marketing, and sales channels. Assembled, marketed, ran, and will soon successfully fulfill a second Kickstarter campaign.
